The Barn Building Legacy of J. T. Wells and Sons Presentation, July 23rd, 7pm, Udicious Pavilion

The Barn Building Legacy of J. T. Wells and Sons:  John Talcott Wells, Sr., was a native of Wheatland, NY.  Without formal training as an architect, J.T. Wells, Sr. patented the arched truss barn design system in 1889. The J. T. Wells and Sons Company may have built about 200 barns, primarily in Western New York, between 1886 and 1942. The presenters are:  Barb Chapman, Wheatland Historian; Dick Thomas, photographer; and Katie Andres, Wells Barns researcher and enthusiast.  The talk is scheduled for Monday, July 23rd,  7 pm, Udicious Pavilion behind the Rush Town Hall.  Please join us to learn more about the magnificent Wells barns.
